Course of Study




The Theatre Major at Anderson University offers a full performance-centered curriculum, requiring fifty-seven hours of theatre classes.  The curriculum includes four levels of acting, a theatre history sequence, Theatre Management, Theatre Ministry, and Play Directing and Musical Theatre Repertoire.  While the curriculum is performance-centered, student can develop practical skills in play directing, theatre design and arts administration.  The Theatre Department is also committed to the study and production of musical theatre.

The Theatre Department also offers an 18-hour Theatre Minor.  This is an excellent option for students majoring in Christian Ministry, Business, Communication – Public Relations or Art.
